Spring Floral Collection
The last few months I have been focusing on creating art for other people, that I had not taken the time to paint something for myself. I love doing commissioned paintings, and I am so thankful for them, but every now and then I need to get the pictures that I have stored in my head out onto paper. I have so many ideas of things that I want to paint, but I usually push those ideas away and I tell myself that I’m too busy. I am convinced this is the very reason why so many creators get burnt out from their craft. I decided that I’m not going to push my ideas away anymore. I’m going to start releasing small collections of paintings throughout the year that are strictly painted right from my heart.
Today I released my very first collection of paintings. I called them the Spring Floral Collection. The Spring Florals are five painting that I started by accident one night. I had a picture of loose florals in a gold vase stuck in my head for over a week. I finally decided to sit down and capture it on paper. I cut an 8x8 piece of watercolor paper and started painting away. I was able to capture the picture that I had in my head. I was so happy with what I had painted that I started to paint more of the loose florals in vases. It felt so good to get the pictures out of my head and bring them to life in watercolor. I had been itching to paint something with a springtime feel and these paintings are exactly it!
I usually keep these kind of painting stored away in a drawer, but they are not bringing joy to anyone when stored away, so I decided to share them with you! The Spring Floral Collection is very small and as of right now I’m not planning on painting any more paintings like these. If see one that speaks to you don’t wait too long to grab it!
