The Peach Tree

Back in August, while visiting our family in Michigan, I sat out on my in-law’s front porch and painted their peach tree in my sketchbook. My in-laws have a beautiful small peach tree growing on their front lawn and every year it grows an abundance of sweet peaches. One morning my sister-in-law set up an old wooden ladder by the tree so that she could pick the fruit. I happened to walk by the door and noticed the tree and thought to myself how pretty it would be as a painting. William had just gone down for a nap so I hurried and grabbed my sketchbook to paint. The paper in my sketchbook blends the colors beautifully and gives each painting a vintage look which I love! When I decided to have prints made of the "Peach Tree" I wanted them to look like they were taken right out of my sketchbook. Each print is 5"x7" giclee printed on cotton paper with deckled edges. The prints look almost identical to the original painting!
